Rotary Club of Pattaya

Connecting people

Rotary is a community of 1,2 million people worldwide. They share ideas and take action to create lasting positive change across the globe in communities and in themselves. I am proud to be a rotarian too. Rotarians are people who care for other people and the environment. We love to promote friendship, speak the truth and see a world of PEACE and international understanding.

Rotary Club of Pattaya

There are 6 Rotary clubs in Pattaya. The Rotary Club of Pattaya has existed since 1972 and is the ‘mother club’ of the other clubs in Pattaya. The club includes both Thai and Foreign members and holds meetings and events in both English and Thai. Meetings are bi-weekly at the Royal Cliff hotel on Monday. The Rotary Club of Pattaya declared Pattaya ‘PEACE city’ in 2006. Ever since PEACE has been promoted in several ways such as a peace monument, PEACE ART contest, exhibition and reproductions and educational programs. More about the good work you will find below.

Contribution to well-being

Rotarians pour their passion, integrity and intelligence into completing projects that have a lasting impact. They persevere till they deliver real lasting solutions. One of the ideas that has come up and is brought to a great succes is the Rotary Dream Box.

Rotary Dream Box
Students could write down their dreams. The Rotary Club of Pattaya took the lead to fulfill the dreams. Over 800 students requested what most of us would consider as needs not wants. Requests for shoes, uniforms, stationary and glasses began to flood in. 73 students requested for glasses in the first 2 months of the project. The Save a Child’s Eyes project was born.

Save a Child’s Eyes
The Rotary Club of Pattaya raised money for glasses for the children who urgently need them but couldn’t afford them.
